Calibrated EZ® Viscosity Cups
 These "Equivalent Zahn" viscosity cups from Paul M.
Gardner Co., Inc. meet ASTM D4212 drain time specifications. They
are also compatible with ASTM D1084 and ASTM D816. Machined orifices
are
essentially
burr-free
and
exactly
centered in the
cup hemisphere,
ensuring uniform orifice geometry and minimum cup to cup shear
rate variability. Handles are offset from the side of the cup and
secured below the rim, eliminating errors due to drainage from
the support surfaces. The precision workmanship and unique design
allow calibration tolerances within 3%. Cup and handle are 100%
stainless steel. EZ cups receive the highest quality recommendation
from Diversified Enterprises.
Each cup is supplied with a conversion chart for drain time in
seconds vs. viscosity in centistokes.
Use the appropriate calibration
oils to assure continued accuracy. Never use silicone-based
oils to calibrate viscosity cups; they leave a residue that alters
performance. EZ cups qualify for certification under the requirements
of MIL STD 45662A or ANSI/NCSL Z540-1.
